Okay, hang on whilst I collect my thoughts.
So… Tina from the blog Life Style Rookie has reached out and nominated me and my blog for the Liebster Award (cue going mental and screaming at full capacity).
You maybe thinking “okay so what even is a Liebster Award?” let me tell you. This award is designed for those of us/you that run or have small blogs. It’s a fun way to gain more exposure and support each other. As we are just one big happy family after all. So that’s basically what it is. I need to take a moment to express my gratitude and say a massive thank you to Tina as this award means I have continued to impress and engage my readers which is all I ever want. So please head over to her page, check her out, show her some of the love you’ve shown me. Thank you.
Now, as per following the rules, I nominee these incredible bloggers for this award:
Another reason for this award is so that new readers can get to know the person behind the blog a little better, so Tina has prepared some rather interesting questions I have to answer. Here goes…
What made you venture into the blogging world?
I decided to venture into the blogging world after becoming frustrated with never getting anywhere with my writing. There are numerous drafts of short stories planted around my room or on my computer. None of them ever being read by anyone but me. So I guess I wanted a platform I could turn my passions into informative short stories and share them with the world. Hopefully hooking readers and motivating them to pursue their own dreams or travel experiences.
Your favourite quote?
Believe me when I say I have no one ultimate favourite quote. There are just too many. Although, for the purpose of this question I have managed to chose one from my list of favourites. A quote that helped me through my childhood. This quote is taken from the best series I’ve ever seen and one that I religiously watched growing up. One Tree Hill.
“There’s no shame in being afraid. Hell, we’re all afraid. What you gotta do is figure out what you’re afraid of because when you put a face on it, you can beat it. Better yet, you can use it.”

Any advice for new bloggers?
I would say one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give is to stay consistent. Consistent with your content topics. Consistent with your style and consistent with your interaction. Always drive forward. No matter the views or the comments always post the content you want to post and don’t try and integrate into a niche market for the wrong reasons (money, traffic, popularity). If you build your blog through being consistent in what you do then you will never lack the motivation to carry it further.
Where do you see yourself in one year, five years and ten years?
In 1 year I see myself graduating from my PGCE study and getting my first real career driven job. From this, I will have to complete an NQT and then BOOM. I’ll be a fully qualified primary school teacher.
In 5 years I would like to say I have a house and a fiancé. Oh and I live somewhere else besides the UK. In 5 years I need to have my life in check and start preparing for the future.
In 10 years I want to be happy. I want to be in a rewarding job that makes me feel appreciated. I want to be married to an amazing girl and have the cutest kids. In 10 years I want to be at the point of those dads you see in films. Driving a mini bus, dropping my kids off at school with their lunches. Going to work to make a difference to the kids I teach. Being involved in the sports teams and making sure my kids enjoy and do their homework like I didn’t. I want to be in a position where I am comfortable and my family is safe.
One thing no one else knows about you?
This is a hard one as I’m pretty sure certain people know everything there is to know about me. I’d say something that perhaps people don’t know or have forgotten about me is that when I was younger I used to dance on stage competitively. Yeah, that’s something people might be shocked at.
What do you do in your life? Free time, study and work wise…
Okay so in my life right now I don’t do much. I have just graduated from my Events Management degree and now waiting for September to come around so I can start my PGCE back at university. In my free time, I go to the gym, a lot. I read, and obviously, try to write blogs. I have traveled a lot these past few months and whilst traveling taken some really nice photos. So I would say I spend a lot of time editing those. As of right now I am unemployed and will probably stay that way for the year. This is solely due to the fact I have to work full time on placements, which do not pay. As for studying. This is the only time in the past 4+ years I haven’t had to study or prepare for anything so I am just chilling with that.
What is your top thing on your bucket list and why?
The top (realistic) thing on my bucket list is to do a road trip through the WHOLE of America. Seeing as many states as possible. I’m sure others have the same idea as its becoming increasingly popular. However, the other top thing on this list which is less realistic would be visiting the 7 wonders of the world. That’s something I am going to try and complete over many many years.
What is one thing you regret?
As a rule, I try not to regret anything as everything that has happened in my life good and bad has led me to this point. Which is a seemingly very good point to be? I would have to say if I had to choose, my biggest regret would be not being closer to specific friends over the years. I have a lot of friends and I know a lot of people located all around the world, but I’m missing that spend all day every day together friendship. So that is one regret I wish I could go back and change.
What is the thing you are proudest of up to this date?
Up to this date, the thing I am proudest of has to be my 2nd class honors (1st division) degree. I worked the whole of my educational career to get to the point of graduating with this degree. So I have to say that is what I am proudest of.
What is the best advice you were given?
The best advice I was given happened to be a couple of years ago and went along the lines of “Always believe in yourself and never take notice of what people say or think about you… as long as you can be proud of the person you are the rest do not matter” and that has stuck with me ever since.
Okay, so that’s me and my part complete. Now it’s over to you. Answer the questions below just as I have, so we can all get to know you a little better. Can’t wait to read your answers. Good luck and have fun.
